Kingston University - Pakistan MOI List
Kingston University has listed recognised Pakistani universities whose graduates may be eligible to meet English language requirements through Medium of Instruction (MOI).
What is MOI?
MOI stands for Medium of Instruction. An MOI letter is an official document issued by a university confirming the language in which a student’s degree was taught.
For example, if your bachelor's degree was taught 100% in English, your university can issue an MOI letter confirming this. Some UK universities accept an MOI as evidence of English-language ability instead of requiring a separate IELTS test, subject to their own rules.
Kingston University’s MOI Policy for Pakistan
Kingston University London accepts MOI as proof of English-language ability for postgraduate applicants from Pakistan, provided the applicant studied at one of Kingston University's approved Pakistani institutions. Kingston requires either an MOI letter or transcript confirming that the education was 100% English-taught. The MOI letter is valid for five years. Kingston also states that franchise and affiliated provision is not accepted for this English-language waiver. Kingston University London

2. The MOI letter is valid for five years. Kingston specifically states that an MOI letter has a five-year validity period. Kingston University London
3. Franchise and affiliated programmes are not accepted for the waiver. If the degree was delivered through a franchise or affiliated provision, Kingston states that this will not be accepted for the English-language waiver. Kingston University London
4. This MOI provision is specifically stated under Kingston's Pakistan postgraduate requirements. For Pakistani applicants, Kingston's current page states that for postgraduate Level 7 entry, MOI from the approved institutions can be considered as proof of English. Kingston University London
Important for Pakistani Students
This can be particularly useful for students who have completed a bachelor's degree from one of the universities on Kingston's approved list. However, students should ensure that their documentation clearly confirms 100% English-taught education and that their programme does not fall under an excluded franchise/affiliated arrangement.
