The MSc Finance and Management is designed for students who want a strong background in finance while also developing management and international-business knowledge. The course covers areas such as financial management, corporate finance, accounting, corporate governance, operations, human-resource management and international business. It is more finance-focused than Exeter's MSc Business and Management because you study subjects such as financial management and advanced corporate finance in depth. The course also provides practical exposure to financial and business software and databases, helping students develop skills relevant to finance and management careers. The programme finishes with a 30-credit International Business Plan, where you apply knowledge from finance, management, marketing, leadership and international business to an individual business plan.

Only the tests listed here are shown as accepted for this course.
The standard academic requirement is a 2:2 honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject. Exeter lists subjects including Accounting, Finance, Investment, Economics, Mathematics, Business, Engineering, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences or a related discipline. An important difference from the MSc Business and Management is that Finance and Management requires evidence of mathematical/quantitative ability. Relevant quantitative subjects can include Algebra, Calculus, Econometrics, Statistics, Probability and Optimisation. Exeter can also consider applicants with relevant professional qualifications or significant relevant work experience. Therefore, if your Bachelor's degree is in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or a quantitatively oriented subject, you should check whether your transcript contains sufficient mathematics/statistics content.
