Course overview

The MSc Marketing Management combines modern marketing practice with broader management skills. According to Exeter, the programme focuses on strategic thinking, financial literacy, sustainability, marketing technologies, digital analytics and contemporary consumer behaviour. You will study marketing through theory, case studies, applied projects and consultancy-style activities, with an emphasis on applying your knowledge to real-world marketing challenges. The programme is also CIM-accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Students who achieve an overall Pass or higher receive exemptions towards relevant CIM Professional and Digital Marketing qualifications, although completing the full CIM qualification requires additional CIM study and assessment.

Entry requirements

General entry requirements

The official academic entry requirement is: • A 2:2 Honours degree or above in any discipline. • Exeter considers applications where there is exceptional performance in relevant modules. • Significant relevant work experience may also be considered. • Relevant professional qualifications may also be considered. • International applicants should check Exeter's country-specific qualification equivalencies. • International students who do not meet the direct-entry requirements may be able to use Exeter's International Pre-Master's route, subject to successfully achieving the required grades. This is therefore more flexible academically than some specialised Master's programmes because Exeter explicitly states "any discipline" for the Bachelor's degree requirement.
